The book by famous Russian historian Efi m Iosifovich Pivovar, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the president of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), and the head of the Department of History of the Near Abroad Countries of the Faculty of History at Lomonosov Moscow State University, is an attempt to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the integration processes that have been taking place in the space of Greater Eurasia in the twenty-fi rst century. Based on a wide range of sources and scientifi c literature, the work considers main integration institutions, including the CIS, the CSTO, the EAEC, the EAEU, the Union State of Russia and Belarus, the Caspian Five, and the SCO, describes the most important areas of economic, social, humanitarian, military and political interaction and cooperation of the Greater Eurasia region states, and points out achievements as well as contradictions and diffi culties in the course of the ongoing progressive integration activities.
